

Having qualified with a medium-sized firm in 1997, Martin moved to a "Big Four" firm of advisers where he spent four and a half years looking after both inward investment companies and fast growing entrepreneurial businesses. His experience included corporate finance transactions such as due diligence, litigation support, financial assistance and stock exchange transactions.
Martin joined Sayers Butterworth in 2001 and currently advises a wide variety of clients in the SME market, predominantly owner-managed and entrepreneurial businesses, covering a broad range of sectors.
His main experience covers two main areas for clients:
Martin believes that, whilst accounting and tax compliance assignments are an important part of his work, the forward planning and advisory aspect of his role makes a material contribution to a client's success.
Martin's outside interests include sport, reading biographies, films and the theatre.
