Tax Planning & Advice

Although we will consider tax planning opportunities when preparing a client’s tax return or set of accounts, our clients also benefit from our experience and expertise throughout the tax year.Pensioners calculating

To be most effective, and to be as flexible as possible, tax planning should be considered long before a transaction is finalised. For this reason, at Sayers Butterworth LLP, we encourage our clients to discuss their affairs with us throughout the year in order that any tax planning is considered at the earliest opportunity.

Income Tax Planning

There are a number of tax-efficient investments available that an individual can use to reduce their tax liability. These can include pension contributions, investments under the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Venture Capital Trust (VCT), Enterprise Zone Trusts and film partnerships. Where appropriate, we will work with our client’s own financial advisors to recommend the correct investment. For clients without an investment advisor, we are able to introduce Forum Wealth Management to provide expert financial advice.

We are also aware that just as no two clients’ affairs are the same, any tax planning undertaken will also be client specific. In such situations, we will work with the client to understand their aspirations and to ensure that any issues are clearly explained.
